Meet the Board
Harry Grymes, Director

“My involvement with PANGAEA began when e-Polk,Inc was formed in 2001. As a local community banker, I was able to provide a loan for equipment for this exciting new enterprise.

Since those earliest days, it has been extremely gratifying to witness and participate in the growth and success of PANGAEA as a business customer, and board member.

Our mission to deliver affordable, reliable connectivity to our region to enhance and improve economic development, quality of life and innovation for our region is as important today as it ever was.”

Trial Program Provides Free WiFi to Local Students

The Town of Forest City, Rutherford County Schools, PANGAEA Internet, and Facebook Inc. have launched a pilot program to deliver free WiFi access to students who live in the Rutherford County School District. The first phase is aimed at 75-100 homes in the neighborhood surrounding the Rutherford Opportunity Center in Forest City.

“PANGAEA Internet’s nonprofit mission is focused on improving our community, and as Rutherford County’s premier fiber optic internet service provider, we understand the impact that wireless access can have on businesses and families alike,” said Ron Walters, executive director of PANGAEA Internet. “We are delighted to be a partner in this joint initiative to invest in our region’s students by extending access to their homes.”
